2 years ago, had my birthday celebrated at Twist Restaurant – Intercontinental Hotel Al Khboar, with 2 of my closest friends who then exited the Kingdom after they decided to pursue their long term plans.. I remember it was so special not only we were there to do something fun but the place itself and the whole experience we earned.

From time to time for me and my friends, when our caffeine-thirsty mouth would urge us to sip hot coffee (hot chocolate for me since I don’t drink coffee), we normally hanker to go to Intercontinental Hotel’s coffee shop. Why? Well, simply because the place is very cozy, clean, and exclusive. Furniture are obviously well maintained especially the couches, you may compose yourself as comfortable as you may want.
Last Friday, October 30, 2015, it was in my path to experience once again the delightful buffet at Twist Restaurant. It was actually lunch invitation from a good hearted couple we know, together with some of their dearest friends. So right after fulfilling one of our tasks that day, we immediately run our way to reach the place on time!
We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 pm. I didn’t eat anything but a piece of candy that day. Hungry I was, I just thought – I will never eat a lot and will give my cholesterol level a break! But then again, I simply failed! Hahaha. Who doesn’t? So many different delicious foods are on the buffet area, so enticing and mouth-watering. It was the Restaurant’s so-called Friday Brunch – Seafood special and so I declared… heaven!
We started the “feast” with soup. I chose the seafood soup over the Lentil soup, I just did. It was very appetizing. We then proceeded to the area where they can cook some seafood like shrimps and lobsters on the spot, to be landed at your table.
There were lots of fresh seafood. We ordered, they grilled.
Not only seafood they are offering, even my favorite pasta! At one corner within the area, you can order whatever kind of pasta you want, white or red sauce, or even mixed!
This time I found myself fast breathing already. I thought I had enough, but no way, I was still on my way to dig in some desserts!
Finally, I thought it was over when this pretty little girl was coming with a plateful of chocolate crepe. Yes, a crepe! I asked myself, shall I pass? Hell nay! Lol. We headed immediately to the table where this delicious thing were made.
Burp! That was all I can do after feasting upon these heavenly foods. One satisfied food-lover here, and surely, this experience will be relayed to everyone I know. Food were amazing, pleasurable ambiance and above all, quality service from all staff. Kudos to the management and to the rest of your team for providing bunch of great things inside the hotel. As per the manager in charge that day who entertained and assisted us, Mr. Buddy Alpuerto, thank you very much for your excellent gestures. Can’t wait ’til our next visit and experience another set of happiness!
