Last night we had the chance to go and see a dope concert, a “Rock” concert actually! And honestly, we enjoyed it! The Burn the Ballroom band left happy ashes at ISG Auditorium-Dahrhan on Monday, 19 October 2015. The concert was sponsored by U.S. Consulate General – Dahran.
Few weeks ago, we received an invitation from the U.S. General Consulate Dahrhan for their upcoming Fall Concert which features a rock band. I got excited and immediately go to the website where I could grab some tickets for me and for my friends.
After securing the tickets, I then took my iPhone and searched some information about the band. I even watched videos of them in YouTube. I came to know that Burn The Ballroom is a Rock or say Anthemic / Powerpop band from Northern Virginia, USA. The band founded by their lead vocalist and guitarist Alan Gant and joined by bassist Jackson Harar, Jack Ivins on the drums, Sterling Pearson on guitar and their backup vocalist, keyboardist, pianist and synthesizer, Tuomas Easton. The band just finished their concerts in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al-Khobar and now currently invading more cities around the globe.
The concert was set to start at 8:00 pm. We arrived at the venue around 7:30 pm and the band was there already preparing their instruments. These 5 tattooed rock stars started to meet and greet the crowd and allowed the fans to take pictures of them and with them! They were also giving away some postcards with their cool autographs. They were nice and approachable, and I can say they love “selfies” too. Hahaha.
Finally, they started to make the crowd crazy when they played their awesome hits. It was fun watching the band making seriously great rock & roll music out of their amazing instruments. And to the lead vocalist Alan, great voice, Sir! The songs “Believe” and “Crazy” are my favorites but Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” cover was another awesome deed!
Everybody did enjoyed each songs and even asked for more… Burn The Ballroom just burned the room! It was actually my first time to attend a Rock concert and I think I will do it again! 🙂
Last year, we also had a blast when Della Mae visited the city last November 3, 2014 and performed their bluegrass music while the Hip Hop band DANGER FLOW came and impressed the KSA’s “Easterners” when they had their Spring Concert last 3 March 2015.
Thanks a lot U.S. Consulate General for bringing these great artists here in the Kingdom! We’re looking forward for another fun concert soon. Cheers!
